Questions
How do I invoice for bespoke work?
Describe the piece in one line and add the labour and materials on their own lines.
Can I invoice by the day?
Yes. Put your day rate as the price and the number of days as the quantity.
How do I show a deposit?
Add a line called "Deposit received" with a negative price. The total drops by that amount.
Do I need VAT?
Only if you are VAT registered. Switch tax on and add your number if so.
