Questions
What should a garage invoice show?
The vehicle details, the work done, parts and labour, the total and VAT if you are registered. A warranty line is good practice.
Why list the registration?
It ties the invoice to the vehicle, which helps if the customer comes back or sells the car.
Can I add a discount for loyal customers?
Yes. Use the discount field as a percentage or a set amount.
Is VAT charged on parts and labour?
If you are VAT registered, VAT is normally charged on both. Switch tax on to show it.
